  Please Note, as you can see, the " acid " has eaten through the layers of the Amiga A4000 mother  
  board, right through to the underside of the PCB.  Technically speaking, the Ni-Cad battery acid is   
  in fact an alkali, however the term "acid eaten" is often misused when applied to this type of tragic  
  event when implying some type of corrosive liquid has eaten into and destroyed something.
